BAGHDAD, Feb 28 — Warplanes and missiles were observed traversing Iraqi airspace as Israel and the United States carried out strikes on Iran, according to witnesses and a military source who spoke to AFP.

The military source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Iraqi forces detected aircraft approaching from the direction of Israel that passed over Baghdad and several other provinces. He added that missiles were also seen crossing the skies above the northern province of Kirkuk.

Two witnesses reported seeing multiple missiles flying at low altitude near the district of Dakuk in Kirkuk. Meanwhile, a soldier stationed in the western Iraqi city of Ramadi said he observed warplanes overhead. — AFP
