TOKYO, Dec 28 — A wolf broke out of its enclosure at a zoo in western Tokyo today, prompting visitors to seek safety in buildings and other secure areas, the zoo operator said.
Kyodo News reported that at Tama Zoological Park in Hino, a zoo staff member spotted the wolf on a public path shortly after the park opened at 9:30am.
Officials later confirmed that the European wolf remained “within the zoo grounds.”
