Works Minister: RM1.7b NPE 2 project set to ease KL traffic congestion by 2029

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 — The RM1.7 billion New Pantai Expressway Extension (NPE 2) project, spanning 6.4km along the main route and 15km in total, is expected to be completed by 2029.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 — The RM1.7 billion New Pantai Expressway Extension (NPE 2) project, spanning 6.4km along the main route and 15km in total, is expected to be completed by 2029.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the project, part of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Master Plan 2040, will ease congestion along the Pantai Dalam–Bangsar–Mahameru corridor and cut travel time by up to 25 minutes between Bangsar or Mid Valley and Subang Jaya.

Nanta added that six firms have shown interest in the upcoming Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) toll system, which will use AI to improve traffic efficiency and safety. — Bernama
