ALOR SETAR, Dec 27 — Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Tauffq Johari has urged young Malaysians to stay physically and mentally active, saying it is vital for building character and preparing them to take on greater responsibilities as future leaders.

He said youth development must be continuous, supported by programmes that strengthen identity and principles.

Speaking after flagging off a run held in conjunction with Kedah State Youth Aspiration Day 2025, he noted that initiatives like the event — organised by the Kedah State 4B Youth Movement — provide an important platform for young people to share their aspirations and connect with the government.

He added that such programmes must continue to ensure policies truly reach and benefit youth. — Bernama
