MELAKA, May 6 — A 27-year-old YouTuber has been summoned by Melaka police after a video showing him allegedly riding a modified micromobility vehicle went viral on social media.

Melaka police chief Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the 22-second TikTok clip, uploaded around 11.50am on May 5, showed the man riding the vehicle with two male passengers at the Lee Rubber traffic lights along the Alor Gajah-Melaka Tengah-Jasin (AMJ) Highway.

Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle had been altered and fitted with a roof. Police also checked a motorcycle registered under the YouTuber’s name — plate number MDJ1154 — believed to have been used to record the footage.

The YouTuber is currently in Sabah for business and is expected to return after May 16. He has agreed to appear with his lawyer at the Melaka Tengah police headquarters on May 17 to give his statement.

The video captured a man riding the modified vehicle with two male passengers at the Lee Rubber traffic lights on the Alor Gajah-Melaka Tengah-Jasin (AMJ) Highway.
