PENGKALAN HULU, April 12 — Police will employ all available legal mechanisms, including extradition, to assist investigations into alleged corporate manipulation activities, says Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

He said the case is being investigated under the Penal Code and the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA).

“If any individuals are abroad and their statements are required to complete the investigation, we will use all available processes to facilitate their return,” he said.

“The investigation is progressing well. I am regularly briefed by the police and have no reason to doubt their capability,” he added.

Saifuddin was speaking at a press conference after visiting and monitoring border control operations at the Malaysia–Thailand Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex in Bukit Berapit today.
